GCE ‘A’ LEVEL

GENERAL PAPER EARLY PREP AND LANGUAGE ARTS

The rapidly evolving educational landscape has given rise to the Integrated Programme, where the end point of a student’s academic career in secondary school is no longer the “O” levels, but the more demanding “A” level Paper or the International Baccalaureate. This paradigm shift has made it necessary that enrichment courses respond to the rigorous demands of these diverse curricula, and here at The School of Thought, we feel excited and ready to meet these challenges.

Having evolved from a centre specializing in the General Paper, our tutors are thus enthusiastic and equipped to infuse secondary school students with the critical skills, and the content knowledge to handle the demands of their new courses. We have made it our priority to stay current with the diverse curricula of all the IP/IB institutions, so that our methodologies and content will empower students.

We also understand the evolution of the Language Arts courses in several IP Programmes, where an emphasis is placed upon Literature and Philosophy, and a general multi-disciplinary study of the core Humanities subjects. Thus, this is purposefully integrated into our teaching and lesson design.
